Lovely Runner has seen a significant boost in viewership ratings right before the final episode.
The drama has surpassed 5% in viewership ratings ahead of its final episode.
Lovely Runner Episode 15, which aired on May 27th, achieved a 5.3% nationwide viewership rating, as reported by Nielsen Korea.
The drama dominated its time slot, outperforming all other programs on both terrestrial and cable channels. Notably, it held the number one spot among the 2049 target audience for eight weeks straight, with a nationwide rating of 3.4% and a peak of 3.9%.
The heartwarming romance between the lead couple moved the viewers to tears. Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon) continually pushed Ryu Seon-jae (Byeon Woo Seok) away, motivated by concern for his well-being.
The drama also featured poignant moments, such as Ryu Seon-jae experiencing déjà vu whenever he encountered Im Sol. As he departed from Im Sol’s residence, a faint memory of a past kiss scene resurfaced.
The show, which started gaining popularity slowly, has now become a top favorite among viewers. Many fans are not prepared for the emotional finale and are wishing for a happy ending for the main characters.
