After months of speculation, Netflix has confirmed the production of the Hong Sisters’ new drama on Monday, October 13. The drama was first reported in January, starring Cha Eunwoo and Go Min Si as the leads. However, Cha had to step down due to his military service, and Lee Do Hyun replaced him. Later, Go Min Si also withdrew, and Shin Si Ah took over her role.

This series marks the reunion of the Hong Sisters—Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran—with director Oh Choong Hwan, following their successful collaboration on Hotel Del Luna. Dubbed as the male version of “Hotel Del Luna,” the fantasy romance drama is set in a hotel that caters exclusively to souls.

Plot Overview

The story unfolds at the Grand Galaxy Hotel, renowned for its exceptional service to the departed. The story follows the new president of the hotel, Eun Ha, and the human hotel manager, Sang Soon, as they navigate mysterious events and encounter various ghosts staying at the hotel.

Production Team

The series is written by the Hong Sisters, who are known for dramas such as My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, The Greatest Love, and Alchemy of Souls. Director Oh Choong Hwan, recognized for While You Were Sleeping and Start-Up, is leading the production.

This marks the first collaboration of the writer and director team since Hotel del Luna. Interestingly, the creative team reunites with the leading man Lee Do Hyun as he appeared as a supporting actor in Hotel del Luna.

‘Grand Galaxy Hotel’ Release Date

Filming for Grand Galaxy Hotel commenced on September 17, and is expected to conclude in April 2026. While an exact release date has not been announced, the series is anticipated to premiere on Netflix in 2027.
