Mexican Singer Peso Pluma Addresses Rumors of Collab with BTS

Peso Pluma and BTS

Mexican music sensation Peso Pluma has been making headlines lately with whispers of a potential collaboration with BTS.

On November 10 (local time), the 25-year-old singer performed at MTV EMAs 2024 in Manchester, UK. During a red-carpet interview with ET, he was asked about rumors of his collab with BTS.

The interviewer asked her about the ‘ninja emoji’ Peso’s vague response to the question left everyone guessing, “Let’s make it happen! I am a fan, whatever they want.”

He fueled excitement by posting a behind-the-scenes photo on his Bubble chat last month. When a follower commented “BTS COLLAB,” the Mexican singer responded with a ninja emoji, cleverly neither confirming nor denying the rumors.

Peso Pluma, born Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija, has made significant strides in the Mexican music scene by combining traditional corridos with modern trap elements. He rose to fame with hits like “Efecto” and “El Belicón.” Additionally, his single “Ella Baila Sola” achieved a notable milestone by reaching the top 10 on the Billboard HOT 100 chart, a first for regional Mexican music.

BTS, or Bangtan Sonyeondan, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2013 by Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE). The seven-member group – RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – has gained a massive global following with infectious music.

They released chart-topping hits, broke multiple records, paved the way for Asian artists, and collaborated with international singers.

The group is currently on hiatus as the members are completing their mandatory military service, with scheduled discharge in June 2025.
