After diligently serving his country, Joohoney has successfully completed his mandatory military service.
On January 23, the MONSTA X rapper and producer was officially discharged from the 15th Infantry Division of the Army, located in Hwacheon, Gangwon-do.
After enlisting in July 2023, he underwent basic military training and later took on the role of assistant instructor at the 15th Infantry Division’s new recruit training unit.
Joohoney is now the third MONSTA X member to complete his military service after Shownu and Minhyuk. Fans can also look forward to the upcoming discharges of Kihyun in February and Hyungwon in May.
As the 30-year-old K-pop star stepped out with a bright smile, he warmly greeted fans who had come to celebrate his return. He even pretended to be rushed away by staff for a content shoot.
Joohoney shared his thoughts through Starship Entertainment: “First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to our MONBEBE (official fan club name) who have waited for me for so long. I missed you all so much. During my personal time, I watched videos of our past concerts with Monbebe, and I thought to myself, ‘I want to return with a more impressive image.’ I’m thrilled to have completed my service safely and return to you all.
Besides thanking his fans, he also expressed gratitude to his fellow MONSTA X members.
Joohoney will celebrate his return with a live broadcast on MONSTA X’s official YouTube channel at 6:30 PM today.
Now, MONSTA X is preparing to celebrate its 10th debut anniversary and welcome back all members in 2025.
