Moon Ga Bi has finally broken her silence on the highly publicized controversy surrounding her relationship with actor Jung Woo Sung, who is also the father of her child.

Jung Woo Sung’s personal life has been under intense scrutiny after it was revealed that he fathered a child with Moon Ga Bi, amidst his long-term relationship with his girlfriend.

While he admitted to having a son with the Korean model, the “Tell Me That You Love Me” actor vowed to support his son with no intention of marrying her.

On December 28, Moon Ga Bi took to Instagram to set the record straight on numerous rumors.

She started off by saying that she wanted to share the news on her first birthday as a mother on November 22.

Then, Ga Bi decided to release an official statement to put an end to speculation since a lot of articles containing false information have been published since last month.

She pointed out articles that alleged that she had met a man she had not dated, became pregnant, and was rejected when seeking marriage and financial support.

Moon Ga Bi reflected on her relationship with Jung Woo Sung, saying, “Since meeting him at a gathering in 2022, we got to know each other more deeply and continued our good relationship until the end of 2023. However, as of January 2024, I’ve not met the child’s father even once. I’ve never requested marriage or anything else from him because of the pregnancy.”

Moon Ga Bi continued, “I did my best in my relationship with him and we both made the choice to welcome our child, a gift that came to us during a natural and healthy relationship. There were definitely moments when we were excited and happy with the baby in my belly. It’s not fair to label this child as a mistake or to assume that his life will be unhappy just because his parents are in a slightly different form of relationship now.”

The model affirmed that her son was not a mistake, “As a mother, I may not have been fully prepared and lacked in a lot of things. However, I believe those were not mistakes or wrongdoings,” and added, “This child is neither a mistake nor a result of a mistake.”

She concluded, saying, “I am not seeking praise for doing something as natural as caring and taking responsibility for a precious life, nor do I want to be pointed at. As a mother, I simply hope the world will bless the birth of my child.”
