Moon Ga Young Considers Lead Role Opposite Lee Jong Suk in New Legal Drama

Lee Jong Suk and Moon Ga Young are in talks to lead the new legal drama, Seocho-dong (literal title).

On October 4, JTBC Entertainment reported, stating, “Moon Ga Young will star as the lead in the new drama ‘Seocho-dong’ and is expected to play the character Kang Hee-ji.”

Her agency, Peak J addressed the rumors stating, “We are currently reviewing (the offer) positively.”

In the drama “Seocho-dong,” Moon Ga Young plays Kang Hee Ji, a passionate second-year lawyer at Jo Hwa Law Firm. Her character’s motto is “Changing one life changes one world.” Hee Ji embodies confidence, honesty, and compassion.

Lee Jong Suk is currently reviewing the offer to play Ahn Joo-hyung, a veteran 9-year lawyer. If confirmed, he will be reuniting with director Park Seung Woo after 8 years. They last worked together on the drama, W: Two Worlds Apart, which premiered in 2016.

The potential pairing of Moon Ga Young and Lee Jong-suk, alongside acclaimed director Park Seung Woo, is generating buzz for the drama.

Lee Jong Suk is well-known for his memorable roles in Pinocchio, While You Were Sleeping, Big Mouth, The Face Reader, Hot Young Bloods, and more. 

On the other hand, Moon Ga Young has appeared in many hit dramas such as True Beauty, Link: Eat, Love, Kill, Tempted, Find Me in Your Memory, and more. She is also set to star in Black Salt Dragon opposite Choi Hyun Wook.

 Lastly, the drama “Seocho-dong” is slated for release next year.
