Moon Ga Young Lends Voice to Urban Art Exhibition as Audio Docent

Korean actress Moon Ga Young, celebrated for her memorable roles in hit dramas, is now sharing her voice to enrich the art world. 

As the audio docent for a groundbreaking exhibition, she will guide listeners through the stunning works of 10 pioneering urban art artists.

The True Beauty actress will participate as an audio docent for the “Icons of Urban Art: From Streets to Museums” exhibition, running from October 2nd at Chungmu Art Center Gallery Shindang. Her soothing narration perfectly complements the artworks, creating an immersive experience.

Icons of Urban Art: From Streets to Museums exhibition showcases urban art’s impact on modern cities, transforming public spaces with powerful messages. In collaboration with Jung-gu Cultural Foundation and MUCA (Germany’s first urban art museum), the show features 10 iconic artists including Banksy, KAWS, JR, Shepard Fairey, and Richard Hambleton.

The audio guide, presented by Moon Ga Young, can be enjoyed for free through the Naver Vibe Audio Docent, accompanied by exhibition images and explanatory text.

The organizers of the exhibition shared, “We have collaborated with actress Moon Ga Young, who represents the 2030 generation and has a connection to Germany, the location of MUCA, one of the co-hosts of this exhibition. This makes the exhibition even more meaningful.”

The exhibition will run at the Chungmu Art Center Gallery Shindang from October 2, 2024, to February 2, 2025. A VIP preview will take place on October 1, attended by esteemed guests including the MUCA Director and representatives from the Goethe-Institut Korea.

On the work front, Moon Ga Young is set to star as Baek Soo Jung in tvN’s 2025 drama, “Black Salt Dragon”. She will be joined by Choi Hyun Wook, Im Se Mi, Kwak Si Yang, and Kim Young Ah.
