SPOTV News reported on July 16 that actor Nam Yoon Su underwent kidney transplant surgery to donate a kidney to his father on June 19.
Both Nam Yoon Su and his father, the recipient of the donated kidney, are making a swift recovery and have been discharged from the hospital.
Notably, the Borrowed Body actor had put all his activities on hold since the start of the year to prepare for the surgery.
The hospital praised Nam Yoon Su for his kindness and positive attitude. They said his warm and optimistic personality helped make the surgery a success. The hospital hopes he will continue to be a positive influence and a role model for others.
On the work front, Nam Yoon Su will soon be seen on screen playing the role of Go Young in the upcoming drama Love In The Big City (working title) which is set to premiere on OTT platforms in the latter half of 2024.
