Recent Activities and Comeback

After their 2024 album Walk, NCT 127 faced a longer hiatus due to enlistments. Leader Taeyong discharged from the military in late December 2025 and dropped his first studio album, WYLD, in May.

Jaehyun (discharged May 2026) has rejoined actively. Doyoung and Jungwoo, who enlisted in December 2025, are scheduled for 2027 discharges. Core member Mark Lee departed in April 2026 after 10 years with the group. Taeil was removed from the group after the sexual assault controversy.

The group will go on tour with five members: Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun, and Haechan.

2026 marks NCT’s 10th anniversary, and SM is going all out with the “NCT 2026: EVERYTHING, ALL AT ONCE, NEO” project. The anniversary plans include:

Member Johnny has said, “2026 is going to be a year of many changes for 127.”

Fans can expect more solo activities (e.g., Taeyong and Jaehyun have been active post-discharge), subunit projects, and global expansions.
