Jaemin shared his honest feelings during THE DREAM SHOW 4 in Osaka on Day 3, held on January 10, 2026, at Osaka Castle Hall. The NCT DREAM member took fans by surprise with his candid comments about the agency, SM Entertainment.
He first thanked fans for filling every seat and asked how they were feeling now that the New Year had begun. “It is the New Year now, how’re you feeling? Are you happy?” he asked. Jaemin also encouraged fans who might be starting new challenges in 2026.
Jaemin also spoke about his radio program, telling fans they could always share their stories with him. “If you ever go through hard times, happy moments, or sad days and do not have anyone to talk to, please send your story to my radio,” he said.
The 25-year-old idol added that it was okay to say “I’m having a hard time” as many times as needed. Thanking fans, he shared, “I can do the radio because of you all, thank you.”
He expressed his hope to visit Japan even more often in 2026 and joked about learning the language. “Please make sure to teach me Japanese on the radio. Kanji is difficult… I’m at my limit,” he laughed. Before leaving the stage, he playfully reminded fans, “Today is Thursday! There’s radio!” He ended with affectionate words, calling fans his “princesses and princes.”
During his ment, he first thanked SM Entertainment. “We were able to come this far thanks to the company, so I’m very grateful,” he said, before joking, “That was just me saying the proper things.”
He then surprised fans by saying, “My company is, despite being utterly useless at work, pretty darn good at making excuses.”
Jaemin promised fans that he would speak to the company on their behalf. “What everyone wants, I’ll make sure to tell the company, so please hang in there a bit longer,” he said. Jaemin, who’d been studying Japanese, called out the label in Japanese, and specifically told the interpreter not to translate this part for the audience or the other members.
Fans quickly shared the moment online, and now everyone on the internet is praising the K-pop idol for his honesty.
On the work front, NCT DREAM will make a stop in Nagoya on January 24-25, the final stop of their tour, The Dream Show 4.
