NCT Jaehyun’s ‘J’ Sold Over 110,000 Copies on First Day, Title Song ‘Smoke’ Climbs Up Charts

Jaehyun has made a splash in the music scene with his first solo debut album!

The NCT member made his debut as a soloist with full-length album J on August 26. 

Jaehyun’s debut album J sold 118,870 copies on the day of its release. The title track Smoke instantly topped the Bugs real-time chart upon its release. Moreover, album J has taken the top spot on QQ Music’s digital album sales chart, China’s largest music platform.

Smoke is a sultry hip-hop R&B song that fuses smooth, groovy vocals with rich guitar riffs and a catchy bassline. Its intimate lyrics convey the warmth and sensuality of a romantic moment shared with someone special.

J debuted at #2 on the Worldwide iTunes album chart and topped the iTunes Top Album chart in 16 countries including Indonesia, Turkey, Thailand, Hong Kong, Finland, and more.

J features 8 songs including Smoke (title track), Roses, Dandelion, Flamin’ Hot Lemon, Easy, Smoke (English version), Completely, and Can’t Get You.

Jaehyun dropped two b-side songs Dandelion and Roses on August 12 at 6 PM. The remaining songs were released along with the physical copy of the album on August 26.

On another note, Jaehyun is set to release Part 2 of ‘The Journey of ‘J’, a behind-the-scenes look at his solo album production, at 8 PM today. This will give fans a sneak peek into the making of his title song music video and teaser content.
