Netflix Confirms Hiking Variety Show “Take A Hike” With Lee Chae Min, Tarzzan, and More

Dowoon, Lee Chae Min, Car, the Garden, and Tarzzan for netflix variety show 'Take A Hike'

Netflix has confirmed a new Korean variety show titled “Take A Hike,” set to join its 2026 lineup. An appealing factor is the unexpected group of stars coming together for the show and its unique concept.

Produced by the well-known variety show creator Na Young Seok (Na PD), the series stars musician Car, the Garden, DAY6’s Dowoon, actor Lee Chae Min, and ALLDAY PROJECT member Tarzzan. All four describe themselves as people who have never enjoyed hiking and have never chosen to do it on their own.

“Take A Hike” follows the cast as they take on a midwinter journey through Korea’s snow-covered mountains. The Korean title of the show roughly translates to “Why on Earth Do You Go Hiking?” The series aims to explore that question by placing complete beginners in extreme conditions.

Temperatures drop as low as minus 20 degrees, and the cast must endure physical exhaustion, cold weather, and emotional frustration along the way.

The show is directed by Park Hyun Yong, who has worked on popular programs such as “Earth Arcade,” “Jinny’s Kitchen,” and the “New Journey to the West” series. He explained that the main attraction of the show is watching strangers grow closer through shared hardship.

According to him, suffering together creates strong bonds. Viewers will see the four cast members quickly become close as they climb up and down snowy mountains.

Each cast member has a different background and personality. Car, the Garden is known for his calm demeanor and musical talent. Dowoon adds warmth and humor to this unexpected group. Lee Chae Min shows a new, more natural side away from scripted drama roles. Tarzzan brings youthful energy and a fresh perspective to the group.

While Netflix has not announced an exact premiere date yet, “Take A Hike” is confirmed for release in 2026.
