Netflix has unveiled the first official trailer and release date for its upcoming Korean original series “The Art of Sarah.”
The streaming service has confirmed that the mystery thriller starring Shin Hye Sun (Dear Hyeri, See You in My 19th Life) and Lee Jun Hyuk (Love Scout, Vigilante) will premiere on February 13. This is the duo’s first on-screen reunion in eight years since the acclaimed drama Stranger, which premiered in 2017.
The series tells the story of Sarah Kim, played by Shin Hye Sun, a woman who becomes the president of the Asian division of a luxury brand. Although she appears successful and glamorous, Sarah is an extremely private and mysterious figure with almost no public records.
Her life takes a dark turn when a body is discovered, and she becomes the central figure in a murder investigation. Shockingly, the victim is identified as Sarah Kim herself. This raises questions about her true identity and whether she is really dead.
Lee Jun Hyuk plays Detective Park Moo Kyung, the investigator assigned to the case. While examining clues, including a tattoo found on the victim’s ankle, he realizes that nothing about Sarah Kim adds up. As he digs deeper, he uncovers multiple versions of her life, including different ages, backgrounds, and identities.
The newly released teaser trailer highlights these contradictions. It shows Sarah living a luxurious lifestyle filled with designer shopping and wealth. In contrast, there are scenes of her wearing worn-out clothes, working tirelessly, and even eating customers’ leftovers.
One haunting line from Sarah stands out: “If you can’t tell the fake from real, then is it really fake?” On the other hand, Detective Moo Kyung is searching for the whereabouts of Sarah Kim. In one scene, he says, “There are no records of Sarah Kim anywhere.”
The teaser poster features a woman’s bloodied body with her face covered, while Detective Moo Kyung sits nearby. Behind them, blurred images and handwritten notes hint at hidden truths and unanswered questions.
“The Art of Sarah” is directed by Kim Jin Min, known for his intense and stylish storytelling in Netflix hits such as Extracurricular and My Name. The script is penned by the talented Chu Song Yeon. Filming took place from January to late May 2025, and the series is currently in post-production.
The drama consists of eight episodes, each running approximately 60 minutes. In addition to the two leads, the cast includes Kim Jae Won, Jung Da Bin, and Shin Hyun Seung, who play important supporting roles.
Meanwhile, “The Art of Sarah” will be available to stream on Netflix on February 13, 2026.
