NewJeans Haerin Skips CSAT, Focuses on Music Career

Haerin From NewJeans

NewJeans member Haerin has opted out of taking CSAT this year and will focus on activities with the group.

On November 7, ADOR announced that the 18-year-old singer will opt out of the upcoming CSAT, set to take place on November 14.

Haerin, who was born in 2006, qualifies to take the CSAT this year as a high school graduate. However, due to her busy schedule with various NewJeans activities, she has decided to skip the CSAT for now to focus entirely on her music.

NewJeans had a busy year with double single releases, sold-out Tokyo fanmeeting, and other activities. Due to the HYBE-ADOR, some of the NewJeans activities and mini-album were delayed as well.

They released two hit singles: ‘How Sweet‘ in May and ‘Supernatural‘ in June. The group also held fanmeeting at Tokyo Dome to celebrate their Japan debut.

On the other hand, NewJeans members have publicly shown support for former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin. They held a live broadcast on September 11, demanding HYBE to reinstate her as CEO of ADOR.

Despite NewJeans’ ultimatum, she was not selected as CEO and her injunction application for reinstatement was also rejected by the court.

In other news, NewJeans will ring in the new year at Japan’s ‘Countdown Japan 24/25’, performing from December 28-31 at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo. They will perform live at the 2024 KGMA ceremony, held at Incheon Inspire Arena on November 16.
