NewJeans’ Hyein Resumes Limited Activities, Set to Attend Tokyo Fanmeet

Hyein from NewJeans

Hyein from NewJeans, who took a break in April, is gradually starting to participate in group activities again.

Back in April, she temporarily halted activities due to a microfracture in her foot and did not participate in comeback activities for the single How Sweet.

On June 20, ADOR, the agency of NewJeans, shared an update regarding Hyein’s health update and upcoming schedule details on Weverse.

Regarding her recovery, ADOR revealed, “Hyein has been concentrating on treatment and recovery since a microfracture was discovered on the top of her foot last April. In a recent examination, it was confirmed that the fracture area was in a state of union, and she will gradually increase her movements for the next month.”

The label further stated, “Based on the opinions of the medical staff, we have had sufficient discussions with her members, and Hyein plans to participate in the ‘Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome’ on June 26 and 27.”

ADOR shared that her participation in some performances may be limited to avoid straining her injured area. While she will miss official activities in Japan, including music broadcasts and performances, she will flexibly participate in other schedules as her condition allows.

She will resume full-fledged activities once she’s fully recovered.

On another note, NewJeans is set to make their official debut in Japan with the single, Supernatural.
