On Joo Wan and former Girl’s Day member Bang Minah are tying the knot, and their wedding is happening this weekend in Bali. The ceremony will be private, simple, and held with only close family members, according to reports released on November 27.
Entertainment outlets revealed that the couple chose an intimate destination wedding rather than a large public event. Because the ceremony is strictly family-only, it is not yet known whether the other Girl’s Day members will attend. One thing that has been confirmed is that Hyeri will not be able to make it, as she is scheduled to present an award at the 2025 MAMA Awards.
When asked about the wedding, On Joo Wan’s agency Haewadal Entertainment kept things brief. The agency explained that they could not share details since the event is a completely private family gathering. They also asked for the public’s understanding regarding the couple’s decision to keep the wedding quiet.
On Joo Wan and Minah’s relationship has been a long time in the making. They met for the first time back in 2016 while filming the SBS drama “Beautiful Gong Shim.” At the time, they simply maintained a senior–junior relationship in the industry.
Their connection grew years later, in 2021, when they reunited for the musical “The Days.” Working together again brought them closer, and their friendship naturally developed into romance. Those close to them say On Joo Wan became a strong source of support for Minah, especially during difficult personal moments, such as the passing of her father last year.
The couple publicly announced their marriage plans earlier this year. After the news broke on July 4, Minah shared her feelings with fans. She said that she has someone who supports her more than anyone else and that she wants to build a life where she can protect her family while continuing her work with confidence.
While preparing for her wedding, Minah has continued her work on stage. She is currently performing in the musical “Maybe Happy Ending,” a story about two abandoned helper robots who slowly learn what love means. The show is running at Yeongang Hall in the Doosan Art Center in Seoul and will continue until January 25, 2026.
