On July 26, Star News reported that Cha Eunwoo and Park Eun Bin are cast as leads in the upcoming drama The Wonder Fools.
In a recent development, it is reported by Filmmaker Korea that the casting has been finalized and the drama will begin filming in mid-October.
As reported by the media outlet, the drama is expected to wrap filming in May 2025.
The Wonder Fools follows the journey of individuals with unwanted superpowers. Eun Chae Ni (Park Eun Bin), a bright and courteous young woman from a wealthy family, has a unique heart condition that makes her increasingly stubborn as she grows older.
She lives a precarious life, always on the verge of collapse. She dreams of taking a train trip to escape her troubles.
In contrast, Lee Un Jeong (Cha Eunwoo) is a socially awkward and enigmatic civil servant with a troubled past. He struggles to form connections with others, but after meeting Eun Chae Ni, he begins to understand the value of relationships.
Furthermore, Director Yoo In Sik (Dr. Romantic 3, Extraordinary Attorney Woo) reunites with actress Park Eun Bin in The Wonder Fools, written by Heo Da Joong (Extreme Job).
The Wonder Fools is jointly produced by Romantic Crew, Kakao Entertainment, and Fantagio, with a release platform to be announced later.
