Park Min Young, the talented Korean actress, has denied reports claiming that she received financial support from her ex-boyfriend.
On January 15, Park Min Young’s agency, Hook Entertainment, released an official statement expressing their hope that there won’t be any further defamation or baseless suspicions about the actress.
Previously, Dispatch reported that the Marry My Husband actress allegedly received 250 million won in cash support from her ex-boyfriend, who is a businessman known to be associated with Bithumb, a virtual currency exchange.
According to the prosecution’s indictment, her ex-boyfriend claimed that he withdrew money from the company as a loan and transferred it to Park Min-young’s personal bank account.
According to the agency, Park Min Young was questioned by the prosecution in February 2023 as a witness regarding the use of her account by Mr. A under a borrowed name.
Through this investigation, it was determined that there were no facts supporting the claim that the 33-year-old actress participated in illegal activities or obtained illegal profits. The agency made it clear that these allegations were unfounded.
Hook Entertainment stated that the 250 million won mentioned in the article was actually used by Mr. A from Park Min Young’s account and was not intended for her living expenses.
