‘Queen of Tears’ Concludes with Historic Ratings, Surpassing ‘Crash Landing on You’

Although many fans were not prepared to bid farewell, the final episode of Queen of Tears aired last night.

In the tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama Queen of Tears last episode, Baek Hyun-woo (portrayed by Kim Soo Hyun) and Hong Hae-in (Kim Ji Won) ultimately found their way to a heart-warming happily-ever-after.

The last episode of Queen of Tears scored an impressive average of 28.4% viewership and peaked at 31% in metropolitan households, while nationally, it averaged 24.9% and hit a high of 27.3%. 

It dominated its time slot across all channels, even beating out terrestrial channels. Surpassing its own record and outshining Crash Landing on You, it claimed the top spot in tvN history as the highest-rated drama.

The viewership among tvN’s key demographic of viewers in their 20s to 49s saw a remarkable surge, averaging 11.8% and peaking at 12.8% in metropolitan areas, while nationally it averaged 12.1% and hit a high of 13.3%. 

This achievement marks the eighth consecutive week of breaking its own viewership records. Besides all, the show has held onto its position at the top of Netflix’s worldwide charts, fueling the global frenzy surrounding Queen of Tears.
