Recently, former ASTRO member Rocky gave an interview to a Korean media outlet to commemorate the release of his solo mini album ROCKYST.
Rocky decided to leave the team in February after his contract with Fantagio expired. He wanted to venture out on his own and take on new challenges. He mentioned feeling a sense of personal growth, which gave him the confidence to embrace change and adapt to different environments.
After parting ways with the team, Rocky came to appreciate even more the precious moments and activities he had with the other members.
He expressed his affection and shared that he does feel some regret about leaving the group. It was a disappointing decision for him. However, now that he has started a new chapter, he is determined to have fun and make the most of it. He also mentioned that the other members have been incredibly supportive.
Moreover, he expressed his longings for the late ASTRO member, Moonbin. Rocky mentioned that it was a challenging experience, so much so that he didn’t even realize how difficult it was at the time.
Fantagio created a separate memorial space for fans to mourn Moonbin’s sudden passing. As they had been together since their trainee days, Rocky was also deeply shocked by the news.
His handwritten letter, which he personally left at the memorial space, generated a lot of attention. Rocky described it as a personal and heartfelt letter, initially intended only for his brother’s eyes. However, she understands the natural curiosity and interest of others.
Rocky shared that when asked about what Moonbin would say when listening to his solo album, he mentioned that his brother appeared in his dreams. He believes that he would simply nod in approval.
Their relationship goes way back to their childhood, and even though they used to fight, they always found a way to resolve things over time. Rocky feels that his brother would express his support with a smile and a nod, rather than using big words. He said that he always carries his memories with him.
