Rosé, the talented vocalist of BLACKPINK, made her highly-anticipated debut on ‘Hot Ones,’ the popular YouTube show where celebrities face off against spicy wings. With her quick wit and unapologetic humor, the 27-year-old singer won over fans and newcomers alike.

Rosé Shares Journey to Making “APT.”

In several interviews, she has shared the journey to making one of the hit singles “APT.” with Bruno Mars. She revealed to host Sean Evans that her song draws inspiration from “Apartment Game,” a popular Korean drinking game, and walked him through its rules. 

Rosé got the idea of making it into a song when all her friends in the US were vibing to it. She also dished on her collaboration with American singer-songwriter and labelmate Bruno Mars, “I was really lucky to have Bruno Mars jump on it craziest experience of my life.”

Ideal Conditions for Creativity

The BLACKPINK singer shared that she finds creative fuel in tough times, which leads to her best recording sessions.

She expressed, “It’s been an experience of like, wow, life has been pretty bad lately, it’s always been the best session because I end up walking out with a song, where I have left all that there and walked out with a great song.”

The “On The Ground” singer talked about her upcoming album “rosie,” saying, “This album is a representation of 3-4 years and all the raw and honest emotions I have never talked about before.”

She revealed that her debut studio album contains a lot of her personal heartbreaking stories and vulnerable emotions.

When Sean asked her what makes BLACKPINK special  she credited the group’s success to hard work, saying, “(What) is so strong about BLACKPINK, It’s the fact that all of us want such big things for ourselves, and we, like, work so hard every day.” Rosé shared that they never rest and also strive for their goals.

Her Dog Hank

Sharing the story of her beloved pet dog Hank, the “Gone” singer revealed, “Hank was named after Tom Hanks…for some reason he just looks like a Hank, he’s chic.”

Rosé called them a “good match” as she is very needy and they balance each other out.

Met Gala Debut

The “APT.” was asked about what goes behind selecting a dress for the Met Gala as she walked the red carpet, donning YSL.

Sharing the process behind selecting a dress, she shared, “We did a fitting and we thought it looked great and we went so it wasn’t actually too hard, my experience was not as crazy as other people.”

Her interview on the “First We Feast” YouTube channel is already nearing 1 million views with 86K views. She has some of the best reactions to hot wings and even needed a stress ball to get through it.
