SAY MY NAME Welcomes Shuie as Eighth Member

SAY MY NAME has confirmed that Shuie is now part of the team, making them an eight-member group. The news was shared through official social media on Thursday (July 10). Fans warmly welcomed the 21-year-old Chinese K-pop idol with supportive messages and excitement about the group’s future.

SAY MY NAME debuted under the management of Kim Jaejoong’s agency, iNKODE, with a self-titled mini-album on October 16, 2024. The group’s original 7-member lineup included Mei, Soha, Kanny, Hitomi, Junhwi, and Seungjoo.

On July 10, iNKODE announced the addition of new member Shuie, in an official statement, stating

We would like to sincerely thank all the fans who always support and care for SAY MY NAME.

Starting today, SAY MY NAME will transition from a seven-member group to an eight-member group with the addition of the new member, SHUIE.

We fully understand the range of feelings our fans may have about this change. We promise to approach you with even greater sincerity and continue to protect SAY MY NAME’s unique identity and teamwork.

Shuie, whose real name is Yáng Shūméng, was born on June 6, 2004. Little is known about the new member so far.

The rookie girl group made their first comeback with the 2nd EP, My Name Is…, in March this year. With the addition of a new member, SAY MY NAME will return to the music scene as an 8-member group.
