Seo In Guk and Jisoo might be starring together soon!
The Doom At Your Service actor is positively considering a lead role in the upcoming drama Monthly Boyfriend (literal title) opposite BLACKPINK’s Jisoo.
On September 10, a representative from his agency, J Story, confirmed the news, stating, “Seo In Guk has received an offer to star in ‘Monthly Boyfriend’ and is positively reviewing it.”
However, they shared that nothing has been finalized about his appearance in the drama.
BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is considering a lead role in the upcoming production Monthly Boyfriend, alongside Seo In-guk. If confirmed, the two stars will play love interests in the drama.
This will be her third drama after Snowdrop (2021) and Newtopia, which she recently finished filming. The zombie thriller Newtopia is slated for a 2025 release.
In addition, she has also wrapped filming for the movie Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, which features a star-studded cast including Lee Min Ho, Ahn Hyo Seo, and Nana.
Before resuming BLACKPINK activities next year, it seems like Jisoo plans to film another drama for her fans. She is also working on new music, which is expected to be released this year.
Seo In Guk, who rose to fame with his breakout role in Reply 1997, has since proven his versatility as an actor with standout performances in Doom At Your Service, Death’s Game, Cafe Minamdang, Squad 38, She Was Pretty, and more.
He is also in talks to star opposite Ji Chang Wook and Ma Dong Seok in a new drama Twelve.
