Seo In-guk and Krystal Jung are officially teaming up.
On June 2, tvN announced that the two actors have been confirmed as the leads for the drama The Office Worker Who Sees Fate (working title), based on the popular web novel of the same name.
The drama is directed by Kim Jae Hyun, who helmed Dynamite Kiss and One Dollar Lawyer. Seo will reunite with screenwriter Park Hye Jin on the drama after previously working together on Café Minamdang.
The Office Worker Who Sees Fate follows a man born with shamanic abilities who just wants a normal office life. Then, corporate corruption drags him into a world he never asked for.
Seo In Guk plays Choi Young Hoon, a new employee who can read anyone’s destiny the moment he touches their hand. He lands a job at conglomerate Pilsan Mulsan, hoping to blend in. It is a massive conglomerate hiding layers of corruption behind its polished corporate surface.
Seo In Guk is a singer-turned-actor who shot to fame after winning Superstar K in 2009. He recently wrapped the fantasy action series Twelve alongside big-name stars like Ma Dong Seok and Park Hyung Sik. In February, he left fans in awe in Netflix’s Boyfriend on Demand opposite Jisoo from BLACKPINK.
Plus, he has the office romance, See You at Work Tomorrow! lined up for tvN in June, where he portrays a cranky boss alongside Park Ji Hyun. After his well-received turn in Death’s Game last year, the 38-year-old actor seems to be on a roll.
Krystal Jung plays Im Yeon Hee, a woman who grew up surrounded by enemies. As the heiress to a sprawling business empire, she learned early that sentimentality gets you eaten alive. After spending years abroad, she returns to Pilsan Mulsan with a perfect resume and ice in her veins, ready to fight the brutal family succession war.
Jung Soo Jung, better known by her stage name Krystal, is equally booked. She made a cameo as a senior grim reaper in TVING’s Way Back Love last year. Moreover, fans loved her performance in Mad Concrete Dreams, her 2026 tvN drama alongside Ha Jung Woo and Im Soo Jung.
On the music side, she dropped her first solo single “Solitary” in November 2025, her first proper release after sixteen years in the industry since her f(x) debut. Krystal also earned critical praise for her film work in Kim Jee Woon’s Cobweb (2023), which screened at Cannes and landed her Best New Actress at the Buil Film Awards.
The production team stated in their official statement, “The visuals and acting synergy of the two actors, who are highly in sync with the original characters, will maximize the project’s appeal.”
The Office Worker Who Sees Fate is scheduled to air on tvN in the first half of 2027.
