SEVENTEEN’s Dokyeom x Seungkwan Form New Vocal Unit, Album Coming January 2026

DK and Seungkwan

SEVENTEEN’s Dokyeom and Seungkwan are teaming up for a new chapter in their careers. According to Sports Chosun on November 6, the two main vocalists are set to debut as a duo unit in January 2026. Their agency, Pledis Entertainment, confirmed a couple of hours later, stating, “Dokyeom and Seungkwan are preparing a unit album targeting a January release next year.”

This is the first time Dokyeom and Seungkwan will officially promote together as a duo. Previously, Mingyu and S.Coups debuted as CxM, members of the SEVENTEEN’s hip-hop unit. The upcoming unit of DK and Seungkwan will highlight the chemistry of the vocal duo.

While the two have previously worked together in the energetic sub-unit BSS (BooSeokSoon) alongside Hoshi, this new project will focus purely on their strengths as vocalists. While Hoshi is currently serving in the military, Dokyeom and Seungkwan’s duo activities are also seen as a natural continuation of the BSS connection.

SEVENTEEN is known for its distinctive unit-based system, where members are divided into the Hip-Hop Team, Performance Team, and Vocal Team. Over the years, various smaller units like Jeonghan x Wonwoo, Hoshi x Woozi (Hxw), and S.Coups x Mingyu (CxM) have emerged as the group members begin military enlistment.

Next year, DK and Mingyu will begin enlistment, so this unit release in January will be extra special.

This new vocal unit comes after a particularly busy year for SEVENTEEN. The group recently wrapped up their 10th-anniversary celebrations with their fifth full-length album HAPPY BURSTDAY and an ongoing world tour New_.
