SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan Enlists in Second Half of the Year, Jun Pursues Acting Ventures in China

Jeonghan and Jun

SEVENTEEN is set to take a temporary break from full group activities as member Jeonghan prepares to enlist in the military in the second half of the year. Meanwhile, fellow member Jun will be focusing on solo projects in China.

On August 12, PLEDIS Entertainment shared an update on the activities of Jeonghan and Jun and their participation in the comeback activities in October.

Jeonghan to Skip Comeback Promotions to Fulfill Mandatory Military Service

In an official statement, PLEDIS shared Jeonghan military enlistment plans, stating, “JEONGHAN is due to fulfill his military obligation in the 2nd half of 2024. While JEONGHAN recorded most of the content he could in advance, he will not be able to participate in comeback activities for the 12th mini album and the SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR, scheduled to begin in October.”

There is some good news for CARATs though, as he will participate in the upcoming fan sign event and the group’s highly anticipated performance at Lollapalooza Berlin.

Details about Jeonghan military service and enlistment date will be announced later.

Jun to Sit Out Comeback Activities Due to Solo Projects in China

Like Jeonghan, Jun will also not be there with the group for the time being. He will be skipping comeback activities for the 12th mini album to pursue solo acting projects in China, “After thorough discussions with JUN and the other members of SEVENTEEN, we have decided that JUN will pursue acting and other opportunities in China during the 2nd half of this year. Like JEONGHAN, JUN has finished filming for content that could be prepared in advance.

Unlike Jeonghan, he will not attend the Lollapalooza Berlin due to conflicting on-location filming schedules, world tour, and music show performances for the upcoming comeback.

The label further shared, “JUN is determined to participate in SEVENTEEN’s group activities, and though he is unable to take part in the world tour, JUN will participate as much as he can in schedules that interact with CARATS.”

Lastly, SEVENTEEN is set to make a comeback in October and has already announced dates for concerts in Seoul and the US for their world tour RIGHT HERE.
