Jeonghan from SEVENTEEN will be taking a temporary break from his activities because he needs to undergo ankle surgery.

According to a statement from Pledis Entertainment, Jeonghan’s ankle pain got worse during their recent tour, so he went to the hospital and the medical staff determined that he needed surgery.

He was admitted to the hospital on December 13 and had his ankle surgery on 14th December.

The surgery was a success, but Jeonghan will need some time to recover. The agency mentioned that Jeonghan is currently in stable condition, and they have decided to prioritize his health by focusing on his recovery and treatment for the injured area.

In addition, it was revealed that Jeonghan won’t be able to join the upcoming SEVENTEEN tour performances in Fukuoka, Bangkok, Bulacan, and Macau for now. The agency kindly asks for the fans’ understanding during this time.

SEVENTEEN released their 11th mini album SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN in October. They started their ‘Follow‘ tour in Seoul back in July, and now they have upcoming performances at the PayPay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan on December 16 and 17.
