S.Coups, the leader of SEVENTEEN, had to take a break from his activities because of a ruptured cruciate ligament. It is being reported that he has been exempted from military service.

According to Xports News, S.Coups was exempted from military service during a recent physical examination. This means that he won’t have to enlist in the military.

Last August, S.Coups unfortunately injured his left knee while filming SEVENTEEN content. His agency, Pledis Entertainment, announced that he underwent surgery and treatment for a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee joint.

After the injury, the SEVENTEEN leader had to take a break from all activities, including the Japanese tour and the comeback activities. He also couldn’t participate in the SEVENTEEN episode of tvN’s ‘Nana Tour’. Now, it’s been reported that he was exempted from military service because of this injury.

S.Coups has completed his treatment and is getting ready to make a comeback soon. His agency mentioned that after consistent treatment and sufficient rest, his injured area has improved. The medical staff gave the green light for him to carry out the scheduled activities without putting too much strain on his body.

SEVENTEEN is planning to make a comeback in April, and it’s reported that S.Coups will be participating in the comeback activities. Before that, they have a concert coming up at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on March 30 and 31.

Lastly, S.Coups plans to meet fans at the concert before their official comeback activities in April.
