Vernon of SEVENTEEN has joined the ranks of esteemed artists as a full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA).

Besides Vernon, BTS’s Jungkook, (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon, and DJ and producer 250 have been promoted to full members of KOMCA.

On January 31, the Korea Music Copyright Association revealed the names of 30 members who were promoted to regular members for 2024 on their official website.

As of January this year, the Korean Music Association, which handles the copyright rights of more than 51,000 lyricists and composers, promoted a total of 27 individuals in various music fields. This includes non-popular music like traditional Korean music, children’s songs, and religion, who were appointed as regular members.

The Korean Music Association released this year’s list of artists promoted to regular members, and it includes some big names. BTS’s Jungkook, (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon, SEVENTEEN’s Vernon (Choi Han-sol), and BOL4’s Ahn Ji-young and Ahn Ye-eun are all on the list.

SEVENTEEN’s Vernon is making a name for himself as a musician. As an idol-songwriter, he’s been involved in writing, composing, and producing the b-side songs like Monster, Fire, and Super, as well as the title track.

Lastly, Vernon has proven his worth not only as a talented musician but as a songwriter as well.
