SEVENTEEN’s Woozi has revealed that his bandmate Hoshi was the inspiration behind the lyrics of their upcoming song Cheers to Youth.
On April 26, the group held a FOLLOW AGAIN in Seoul and performed the new songs from their upcoming album. While their new album has songs from past works, it contains 4 new songs including 3 unit songs. Cheers to Youth is a song by SEVENTEEN’s vocal team.
At the concert, when talking to CARATs, Woozi and Hoshi revealed the funny story behind writing the lyrics Cheers to Youth.
On a tour, Hoshi made a mistake during his ment, and the other members said that it was not right. Hoshi humbly replied, ‘I’m sorry… as it’s my first time living today too’.
Upon listening to this, Woozi jotted it down in his notes, saying, ‘Oh that sounds good.’ It was later included in the lyrics for Cheers to Youth.
Cheers to Youth reminds us to be kind to ourselves and others as everyone navigates this journey called life, where every experience is a new one.
On another note, BLACKPINK’s Jennie was spotted at the SEVENTEEN’s concert. Another encore concert will be held in Seoul on April 28 and then head to Japan next month.
