Shin Ye Eun and actor Park Bo Gum consider starring together in a new time-slip romance drama.
On April 2, an official from Shin’s agency NPIO Entertainment told Ilgan Sports that the actress has received an offer to play the female lead in the drama Night Traveler and is currently reviewing it.
In May 2025, reports revealed that Park Bo Gum was in talks to star in the same project. In response, his agency THEBLACKLABEL stated that he has received the offer and is reviewing it as well. This means neither actor’s appearance has been confirmed yet.
Set in 1937 and the present day, Night Traveler follows a lawyer and a forensic investigator who become connected through the same apartment across time. They meet during brief moments at night. As this continues, they uncover secrets that link their lives across decades.
Night Traveler is a romance drama written by Yoon Ji Ryeon, the writer behind popular series such as Boys Over Flowers, Angel Eyes, and Move to Heaven. If confirmed, the drama would mark Park Bo Gum’s return to the romance genre after When Life Gives You Tangerines. It also offers Shin Ye Eun the opportunity to take on a leading romantic role alongside one of Korea’s top stars.
Park Bo Gum recently received a lot of love from viewers with his performance in the Netflix series When Life Gives You Tangerines. He then transformed into a former boxing gold medalist-turned-detective in the action-comedy Good Boy. He has hosted the late-night music talk show The Seasons: Park Bo-gum’s Cantabile.
He also holds a national barber’s license and is starring in the 2026 variety show The Village Barber, where he runs a rural hair salon. In addition, his most exciting upcoming project includes a historical movie, The Sword: Rebirth of the Red Wolf, with an ensemble cast.
Shin Ye Eun is also awaiting the release of the ENA Monday–Tuesday drama Doctor on the Edge, airing June 1, 2026. In the drama, she plays Nurse Hari alongside Lee Jae Wook. She previously gained widespread recognition for her performances in The Glory, Revenge of Others, and The Murky Stream.
She is also a past winner of the Blue Dragon Series Award for Best New Actress for her role in Revenge of Others.
