Liam Payne

Liam Payne, a member of the globally renowned boy band One Direction, fell to his death from a third-floor balcony at a local hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 16.

More recently, photos obtained by Argentina’s one of the most reputable newspapers, La Nacion, reveal a disturbing scene in Liam Payne’s third-floor room at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel.

The images show a smashed TV, a half-filled champagne glass, scattered foil and powder, and various other suspicious items.

On the desk, investigators found an empty Dove soap packet, a burning candle, a burnt soda can top, and aluminum foil. Additionally, there were traces of an unidentified white powder, which authorities will test to confirm suspicions it may be cocaine, as per the report by the media outlet.

The bathtub contained wax and burnt foil, further fueling concerns about potential substance use. Investigators are analyzing the substances found and investigating the incident.

According to a report by Sky News, Liam Payne’s hotel room search revealed alcohol and drugs, including clonazepam, used to treat conditions like agoraphobia, which Payne had publicly struggled with. Police found whiskey, a lighter, and a cell phone near his body.

It is also being reported that the police were dispatched to the scene after a report of an intoxicated, aggressive individual at the hotel, and the hotel manager called 911.

Payne, 31, died Wednesday after falling from his third-floor room, sustaining “extremely serious injuries,” including a skull fracture, according to Buenos Aires authorities. Preliminary reports indicate Liam Payne’s cause of death as a skull fracture, but authorities await autopsy results for confirmation.

Liam Payne rose to fame as a One Direction member before pursuing a solo music career, releasing his debut album in 2019.
