Single's Inferno Season 5 cast poster

Netflix’s hit dating reality show Single’s Inferno is back with another bolder season. The globally popular series returns with its fifth season, which is going to be “darker and hotter.” Season 5 will premiere next week, with the first four episodes released at once.

The streaming giant has already raised expectations for fiercer competition and more fearless romance. Single’s Inferno is all set to raise the bar once again after becoming the first Korean reality show to enter Netflix’s Global Top 10 and renew for five seasons.

Single’s Inferno Release Date

Single’s Inferno 5 begins its run on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Episodes 1 to 4 will be released together on premiere day. After that, new episodes are expected to drop weekly every Tuesday. Like previous seasons, the full season is expected to have 12 episodes.

What Is Single’s Inferno?

A group of attractive single men and women are taken to a remote island known as “Inferno.” Life there is basic and uncomfortable. The only way to escape is to successfully match with another contestant.

Couples who choose each other are rewarded with a stay in “Paradise,” a luxury hotel suite where they can talk freely, eat well, and learn more about each other. Those who fail to match must remain behind on the island.

The Hosts Are Back

The familiar panel of hosts returns to guide viewers through every flirtation, shock, and twist. Hong Jin Kyung, Lee Da Hee, Kyuhyun of Super Junior, Hanhae, and Dex (Kim Jin Young) are all back.

There is also strong speculation about a special guest this season. Many fans believe Lee Sian, the breakout star from Season 4, may appear as a guest panelist to share her perspective.

Single’s Inferno 5 Cast Lineup

With the release of the official poster for Single’s Inferno Season 5, Netflix has given viewers their first look at the new singles.

Instead of focusing mainly on models and influencers, the production team recruited contestants from all walks of life.

Confirmed Single’s Inferno Season 5 contestants include

Kim Min Ji

One of the most talked-about cast members is Kim Min Ji, a well-known track athlete. She is no stranger to television, having appeared on programs such as SBS’s Goalies and the variety show Knowing Bros. She has earned nicknames like “the goddess of athletics” and “the Karina of track,” due to her resemblance to aespa’s Karina.

Kim Minji was the first contestant revealed in the Season 5 teaser and is currently the only cast member listed on IMDb. In the official poster, she appears with bangs and a light blue top.

Kim Go Eun

Another confirmed contestant is Kim Goeun, a former Miss Korea runner-up and model. Her name first surfaced in December that she would be joining the show. At the time, Netflix responded cautiously, saying casting details could not be confirmed before broadcast.

After the unveiling of the poster, it was confirmed that she appears in Season 5. Kim Goeun stands front and center in an orange outfit with bold waist cut-outs

Lim Sung Jin

The third confirmed cast member is Lim Sung Jin, a professional volleyball player. He already enjoys massive popularity online, with over one million followers on Instagram. He plays for the Uijeongbu KB Insurance Stars in Korea’s V-League. Early fan reactions suggest he is already a favorite. On the poster, he appears in the second row wearing a light blue shirt left casually unbuttoned.

Mina Sue Choi

Mina Sue Choi is a model based in the United States and made history as the first Korean to win the Miss Earth pageant. Fans are excited to see another overseas contestant, following Season 2’s Nadine Lee. In the poster, Mina is seen wearing a one-shoulder blue patterned dress, positioned between two male contestants.

The Rumored Cast

While Netflix has yet to reveal the full Single’s Inferno Season 5 cast, several names continue to surface through fan discussions.

One is Kim Ji Han, another volleyball player, currently playing for the Seoul Woori Card Woori Won. His participation has not been confirmed, but fans predict he will be vying for love this season.

Song Eunwoo, an actress and model, is also rumored to be part of Season 5. Musician Danny Koo, a violinist and singer from Ensemble DITTO who previously appeared on SuperBand 2, is another name fans believe may join the show.

Lastly, Lee Yeji, a KBS weather forecaster and the Miss Korea 2023 titleholder, has also been mentioned as a possible contestant.

Single’s Inferno Season 5 Trailer

Netflix has released two teaser videos ahead of the premiere. The first teaser, released in December, began with soft flirting before shifting to what Netflix calls “blunt, unfiltered sparks.” It teases “a more thrilling Paradise and an Inferno that’s darker and hotter than ever.”

The official trailer, released in early this month, pushes boundaries even further. It opens with provocative visuals and includes voiceovers such as “Maybe we should show more skin” and “I want you.”

The hosts are shocked, with Hong Jin Kyung saying, “Season 5 is wild.” One contestant even asks, “Is it possible for me to leave Single’s Inferno with two men?”

Lastly, Director Kim Jae Won explained that Season 5 is designed as a “classic dating reality series” with a strong focus on “the butterflies you feel in a romantic relationship.” He promised “much more diverse romantic arcs” and participant dynamics “unlike anything you’ve seen before.”

The journey back to Paradise begins on January 20, exclusively on Netflix.
