SM Entertainment and Moon&Back are joining forces to create a boy group. The Korean entertainment agency, SM, is making a big move into the European market.

More recently, they have joined hands with a British Entertainment agency, Moon&Back, to create a boy group that will be active in the international music market.

On November 16, SM Entertainment made a big announcement about signing a strategic agreement with M&B at their headquarters in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.

The event was graced by some big names from SM Entertainment CEO Jang Cheol Hyuk, CBO Yoon Jung Jang, CAO Lee Seong-soo, and Creative Director Kangta.

Moon&Back also brought a strong team with them to the event. Nigel Hall, Russ Lindsay, Dawn Airey, and music director Ben Karter were among the 9 people representing M&B.

This debut of a new boy group is especially significant as it marks the first collaboration between Korea and the UK, the ‘home of pop’.

M&B will be directly casting members for the boy group in the UK, while SM is bringing their K-pop expertise to the table with music, music videos, and choreography. Plus, the songs that the group will sing will be managed by KMR, which is SM’s music publishing subsidiary.

M&B has some incredible plans for the boy group’s journey. They’re going to document their growth in a 6-part TV series that will be aired in the second half of next year. The series is going to be shown in different countries like Korea, the UK, and the US. This is a significant milestone because it’s the first-ever British boy group to incorporate K-pop.
