Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin are the ‘it’ couple of the Kdrama industry, adored by millions of fans.
Son Ye Jin has been honored with a retrospective exhibition at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN), celebrating her illustrious 23-year career in the film industry.
This prestigious recognition, which kicked off on July 4 at the Bucheon Art Center, highlights Son Ye Jin’s contributions as a leading figure in contemporary Korean cinema.
At BIFAN 2024, she shared the reason why fell for her husband and co-star, Hyun Bin. The Crash Landing on You actress shared, “Many people meet, start dating, get married. That’s what happened too. Hmm… It’s just destiny.”
She went on to say, “People kept saying we resembled each other, and I’ve never really thought of myself as looking like another person,” and added, “But then the more I looked at it, the more I thought we are a bit similar.”
We worked together on 2 projects [Crash Landing on You, The Negotiation], which I personally really liked a lot.”
Son Ye Jin shared that Hyun Bin is smart, upright, and rational, someone who does not present himself in a package.
Also, his good looks were admired by her doting wife as well, “And… it was also the appearance. He’s handsome and tall, and reliable.”
The Kdrama power couple started dating in 2019 after their appearance in Crash Landing on You. They tied the knot in March 2021 and welcomed their first child in November of the same year.
