He joins forces with a local troublemaker, Kim Moon Ho, played by Koo Kyo Hwan (D.P., Parasyte: The Grey). The two launch a unique gardening business that quickly descends into chaos.
Song Seung Heon (Obsessed, Voice) stars as Han Cheong Yong, a once-successful star whose life has taken a tragic turn.
Lee Kwang Soo (Hwarang, The Manipulated) plays CEO Song, the operator of a lottery shop who manages the distribution for Choi Young Il’s gardening business.
Shin Hyun Bin (Hospital Playlist, Reborn Rich) portrays Kang Mi Ae, a restaurant owner with a dangerous secret. Lee Jae In (Pachinko, The King’s Affection) plays Choi Eun Soo, Choi Young Il’s daughter.
Director Nam Dong-hyeop, known for his 2024 debut Handsome Guys, is praised for his witty and engaging storytelling. He won the Best New Director award at the 23rd Director’s Cut Awards for his debut work. An official from the production noted that the film will focus on lively comedy and thrilling situations.
Currently, “The Gardeners” is in the pre-production phase, with a goal to start filming sometime this year. While no specific release date or distributor has been announced yet, production updates typically follow after filming commences.
