On his 27th birthday, Bang Chan of Stray Kids made headlines not just for celebrating another year of life but for his remarkable act of generosity.
The Stray Kids leader turned 27 on October 3 and he celebrated his birthday with a generous donation.
Bang Chan celebrated his birthday with a 100 million won donation to the Community Chest of Korea, joining the ‘Honor Society’ of top donors.
His donation will be used to support individuals with developmental disabilities, funding capacity-building training and health checkups for inclusive sports programs.
Bang Chan shared, “Since it’s my birthday, I’m grateful to be able to share some of the meaningful love I’ve received from fans. I hope that this small act of sharing will reach places where the help is needed.”
Bang Chan, born October 3, 1997, is the leader of the South Korean boy group Stray Kids. He trained at JYP Entertainment before debuting on March 25, 2018, through the reality TV show “Stray Kids.”
On another note, Stray Kids is on a roll, establishing themselves as a prominent global force in K-pop. Next up, they will take the stage at the American Music Awards (AMAs) on October 6, joining BTS. Following their critically acclaimed Japanese album ‘THE SOUND’, Stray Kids will unveil their sophomore full-length album ‘GIANT‘ on November 13.
