Stray Kids have once again proved their global impact with the release of their much-awaited album KARMA, produced by 3RACHA (Changbin, Han, and Bang Chan). According to Hanteo, the group recorded an impressive 2,080,072 copies sold within the first 24 hours, making KARMA one of the fastest-selling albums of 2025.

The achievement puts KARMA in second place among this year’s highest first-day sales, just behind SEVENTEEN’s Happy Burstday, which reached 2,269,401 copies.

Released on August 22, this is also their 2nd-highest first-day sales, only surpassed by the 3rd album 5-STAR, which registered 2,392,66 copies in 2023.

In addition, their previous albums ROCK-STAR reached 1,885,065 copies, ATE recorded 1,654,332 copies, HOP posted 1,421,394 copies, and MAXIDENT achieved 1,308,971 copies on release day. Since KARMA surpassed two million sales in just 24 hours, it is expected to become a triple-million-seller in the first week.

Notably, the achievement places KARMA within the all-time highest first-day sales for boy groups. On the sales chart, SEVENTEEN remains at the top, with FML recording 3,998,373 copies, followed by SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN at 3,288,017 copies. KARMA secured the 9th spot with 2,080,072 million sales, whereas 5-STAR is at No.5 with 2,392,666 copies.

Beyond physical sales, KARMA also made a strong digital impact, debuting at #1 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart. Its title track “CEREMONY” entered the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart at #2. The songs are also doing well on domestic charts like Genie, Bugs, and Flo.

Conceptually, KARMA transports fans into the year 2081, introducing the futuristic “Karma Sports” competition where each member takes on the role of a past champion. The album features eleven tracks, including multiple versions of CEREMONY, along with standout songs such as In My Head, Phoenix, Ghost, and more.

The music video of CEREMONY, which includes a cameo from professional League of Legends player Faker, has surpassed 8.8 million views in less than a day since its release.

More recently, Stray Kids attended the 2025 K-World Dream Awards on August 21 and took home four major trophies, including Best Artist. Last month, the group wrapped their hugely successful world tour, dominATE, which ran for nearly a year. They have achieved career-high earnings with the world tour, as reported by Billboard. JYP Entertainment will likely announce encore concerts in the coming days.

To mark the new album’s arrival, Stray Kids is hosting the KARMA Pop-Up Store from August 23 to September 3. The event will run for 12 days at the first-floor atrium of Lotte World Mall in Songpa-gu, Seoul, and on the seventh floor at Cinepark in Lotte Cinema World Tower.
