Stray Kids’ Daesang win at 2025 MAMA Awards turned sour for fans when Lee Know suffered an ankle injury during the group’s performance on the second night of the show.

On November 30, JYP Entertainment confirmed that Lee Know had injured his ankle during Stray Kids’ performance on November 29. After returning to South Korea, he immediately visited a hospital for a thorough examination.

The medical diagnosis came back as an ankle sprain. In their statement, JYP emphasized that Lee Know “will be receiving appropriate treatment and taking sufficient rest.” The agency also apologized to fans who were concerned and assured everyone that the artist’s health remains their top priority.

According to fan accounts and reports from the venue, Lee Know twisted his ankle while rushing down a set of stairs between segments of the performance. Despite the sudden pain, he continued with the scheduled choreography and performance.

Later in the evening, Stray Kids returned to the stage to accept the prestigious Album of the Year Daesang. Fans noticed other members quietly helping Lee Know because he was struggling to put weight on his injured foot.

The next day, he was seen using a wheelchair at the airport. Both he and the agency clarified that the wheelchair was purely a precaution to navigate the long distances in the terminal and prevent further aggravation of his injury.

Lee Know was not the only performer to get hurt during the high-profile ceremony. i-dle’s Minnie injured her foot during a rehearsal before the first night’s show after stepping down from a prop sofa. She still performed as planned. Meanwhile, aespa’s Winter had a scary incident when a sharp metallic piece attached to a guitar broke off during her group’s performance, cutting her hand.

Meanwhile, Stray Kids recently released their special album, “DO IT,” and the members are currently promoting it on music shows and entertainment programs.
