Stray Kids in a teaser for 'DO IT'

Stray Kids has reached another major milestone in their career by debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 for the eighth consecutive time. Their latest album, SKZ IT TAPE: DO IT, released on November 21, has once again placed them at the top of the chart.

Billboard revealed in a preview article on November 30 (local time) that the album sold about 295,000 copies in the United States during its first week. This strong performance placed it at number one on the Billboard 200 dated December 6. It is the group’s eighth entry into the chart at the top spot, a feat no other artist in the world has accomplished.

Stray Kids is now the first act to have all eight of their albums debut at number one and the group with the most number-one albums on the Billboard 200 since the 2000s.

The scale of this accomplishment becomes even clearer when placed in context. Their first-week sales rank seventh overall for any album released in 2025. The only artists ahead of them are Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen, The Weeknd, Sabrina Carpenter, Stray Kids themselves with their fourth full-length album KARMA released in August, and Playboi Carti.

This result follows weeks dominated by Taylor Swift, who held the top spot for seven consecutive weeks with her newly released album.

Stray Kids did not stop at Billboard. They also made a strong showing in the UK, a market known for its tough charts. On the UK Official Trending Chart, their double title tracks “Do It” and “Fresh Play” placed fifth and ninth, while the B-side track “Holiday” charted at eighteenth. “Do It” entered at number thirty-five on the UK’s Official Singles Chart Top 100, their seventh appearance on the chart.

On Spotify, “Do It” recorded Stray Kids’ highest ever placements on the platform’s Daily Top Songs chart. It reached eleventh globally and thirteenth in the United States. On the Weekly Top Songs chart, the track rose to forty-second place globally and eighty-second in the United States, surpassing the numbers achieved by their previous album CEREMONY.

The second title track “Fresh Play” was first revealed live during the 2025 MAMA Awards on November 29. Its music video, released on November 27, dominated the global trending charts for three days straight from November 28-30. It ranked first in major regions, including the United States, Brazil, and France.

With all these achievements, many in the industry consider Stray Kids to be at the peak of their career. In just 2025, they set two new Billboard 200 records and achieved massive global chart success. They recently won Album of the Year daesang (grand prize) at the prestigious MAMA Awards.
