Singer and veteran television host Sung Si Kyung is expanding his broadcasting resume. The beloved balladeer has been confirmed as the new MC for KBS’s late-night music program “The Seasons.” He takes over the mic following the current season hosted by 10cm.

As reported by OSEN on March 2, Sung Si Kyung has been selected as the successor MC. His final recording for “10cm’s Pat-Pat” takes place on March 3.

His appointment is not confirmed yet, and the subtitle for his season has not been decided.

Sung Si Kyung becomes the ninth MC in the history of “The Seasons.” The show, which airs every Friday at 10 p.m. on KBS2, launched in February 2023 as KBS’s flagship late-night music program. It introduces a seasonal format where different hosts take charge of each season.

The complete lineup of hosts to date includes:

Notably, Park Bo Gum made history as the first actor to host the show when he took on the role for the seventh season in March 2025.

Sung Si Kyung brings decades of experience to the role. Throughout his 25-year career, he hosted numerous variety shows, including long runs on “2 Days & 1 Night” Season 2 (2012-2013), “Witch Hunt” (2013-2015), “Non-Summit” (2014-2017), and “Battle Trip.”

“The Seasons” holds a special place in KBS’s programming history. It serves as the successor to the long-running “Yu Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook,” which ended in 2022 after 13 years, and continues KBS’s “30-year legacy” of late-night music talk shows. It includes iconic programs like “Lee Sora’s Propose” (1996-2002) and “Yoon Do Hyun’s Love Letter” (2002-2008).

Specific details about the subtitle and broadcast schedule remain under wraps. Sung Si Kyung’s season will follow the ongoing “10cm’s Pat-Pat,” which airs its final episode on March 6.
