TEEN TOP’s Niel Establishes Independent Label

TEEN TOP's Niel establishes label EL&D Entertainment

Niel has decided to pursue solo activities with his own one-person agency.

The TEEN TOP member has established his personal label EL&D Entertainment after parting ways with Newentry Co. Ltd. It is not new for K-pop artists to establish independent labels. Previously, three BLACKPINK members Jisoo, Lisa, and Jennie as well as EXO’s Baekhyun set up their personal labels to pursue activities independently.

On March 4, Niel made this exciting announcement in an official statement, stating, “I have established EL&D Entertainment (EL&D) and will start anew as the company’s representative and artist.”

The company name EL&D is a combination of Niel’s initials “EL” and his real name Daniel’s initial “D”. This name carries the meaning of highlighting his new side as an artist and as a person.

Through his new company, Niel stated, “Although I cannot say that I have no fear or burden about new attempts, I am also excited and grateful for the fans who always support me, which gives me strength.” He added, “I will work hard to deliver fresh impressions and joy through more diverse activities in the future.”

He continued, “I also want to establish and develop my own unique musical style.” He also asked for fans’ support, saying, “Just as you’ve watched me grow until now, I hope you’ll continue to support me as I embark on new challenges with EL&D Entertainment.”

Niel burst onto the music scene in 2010 as a member of TEEN TOP. As the group’s main vocalist, the 30-year-old K-pop star captivated audiences with powerful vocals and impressive performances.

In 2015, Niel made his solo debut with the album “Oniely”. Nine years later, he took the stage for his first solo concert in 2024.

At the beginning of his career, he managed activities with the group’s agency Top Media and later moved to Newentry Co. Ltd in 2022.

TEEN TOP began their journey as a 6-member group under the supervision of Top Media. After C.A.P and L.Joe’s departure, the group is continuing their journey as four (Ricky, Niel, Chunji, and Changjo).

Meanwhile, Niel is gearing up for a big year as a solo artist. After establishing his own agency, he is now working on a brand-new album, slated for release in the first half of 2025.
