Kevin from THE BOYZ has spoken directly to fans about his temporary break from group activities due to health concerns.
On November 10, Kevin shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram, saying, “I’d like to apologize for causing alarm to all of y’all who support our team.” He also assured fans that he’s taking time to rest and recover, adding, “I’ll be taking a short break and will be back soon. I hope everyone can continue to support the guys. Stay healthy.”
His message came after the group’s agency, ONE HUNDRED, officially announced his hiatus on October 28. The agency explained that Kevin had been experiencing “irregularities in his physical and psychological condition.” After consulting with a doctor, it was decided that he should take time off to focus on treatment and recovery. The agency confirmed that THE BOYZ will continue activities as an eight-member group for the time being.
Kevin is one of the group’s main vocalists and has been an important part of THE BOYZ since their debut in December 2017. Along with his singing, he has also contributed to the group’s music as a songwriter and composer, working on tracks such as “Spring Snow” and “Awake.”
Despite Kevin’s short break, the group continues to stay busy. THE BOYZ are currently in the middle of their “THE BLAZE” world tour, which began in August. The tour will go on as planned with the remaining members.
Meanwhile, members Hyunjae, Sunwoo, and Juyeon are set to release a special unit single titled “Tiger” on November 11 at 6 PM (KST). The song was originally performed during their world tour and will now be released officially on major music platforms.
