THE BOYZ to Continue Using Group Name After Agreement with IST Entertainment

THE BOYZ

The exclusive contract between THE BOYZ and IST Entertainment expired today (December 5).

They are no longer an artist under the said label and will continue activities under the new agency ONE HUNDRED.

The group announced the termination of their contract with IST Entertainment in mid-November and ONE HUNDRED, a company founded by singer MC Mong and CEO Cha Ga Won.

Previously, their new agency had been in talks with IST Entertainment regarding the trademark rights to THE BOYZ, but they were unable to come to an agreement due to IST’s allegedly unreasonable negotiation terms.

In response, IST refuted stating that they agreed to give the trademark for free to the 11 members of the group.

On December 5, One Hundred delivered the good news about the use of the trademark, “Today, we had a meeting with IST Entertainment and smoothly reached a mutual agreement on the use of ‘THE BOYZ’ trademark rights and three other agreements.”

They continued, “We and IST Entertainment have reached an agreement that prioritizes the happiness of THE BOYZ members and their fans, The B.”

They also said, “We would like to sincerely thank IST Entertainment for responding to our negotiations with an open mind.”

The BOYZ will start a new chapter in their journey after signing with ONE HUNDRED.
