The Truth Behind BTS V “Starring” in The Devil Wears Prada 2

BTS V spotted in Paris ahead of Celine show

In recent weeks, fans have been buzzing online with claims that BTS’s V is starring in The Devil Wears Prada 2. Photos of him dressed in stunning designer outfits led many to believe he was spotted on the film’s set in New York. But the truth? V is not in the movie, and the rumor is nothing more than a playful fashion trend gone viral.

It all started as a joke on social media. Anytime a celebrity is spotted in a sharp outfit, fans have started saying, “They must be filming The Devil Wears Prada 2.” V, known for his effortless style, naturally became a top target of this meme.

His recent looks in Paris were so polished that it didn’t take long for fans to join in on the joke, pretending he was part of the cast. But to be clear: he is not involved in the project at all.

Also, V met Anna Vintour during Celine Spring show in Paris earlier this month. Since the movie is famously inspired by the life of a former Vogue editor-in-chief, fans thought he might be part of it. Wintour also personally invited the Slow Dancing singer to a prestigious Vogue event in October.

The actual sequel to The Devil Wears Prada is currently in production in New York City. Filming began in late June 2025, and the movie brings back original stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. The film is expected to continue the story of Miranda Priestly and her world of high fashion. New faces joining the cast include Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Pauline Chalamet, and Justin Theroux.

Scenes are being shot across Manhattan, with paparazzi capturing glimpses of Anne Hathaway in head-turning outfits from brands like Chanel and Valentino. Audiences can expect the sequel to arrive in theaters by May 2026.

This isn’t the first time V has been caught in casting rumors. Earlier this year, fans speculated that he might appear in Squid Game Season 3. But again, no official source confirmed this. The finale premiered in late June, and V was not part of it.

V was officially discharged from the South Korean military on June 10, 2025, after serving in the elite Special Duty Team (SDT). Soon after, he traveled to Paris for the Celine Fashion Show. The 29-year-old singer then headed to Los Angeles to catch up with BTS members and work on the group’s forthcoming album.

On July 28, he made a surprise return to Korea to attend a junior comrade’s discharge ceremony at his SDT base. He is expected to return overseas soon, though his exact schedule remains private.

On the work front, V has teased a solo project for August during a recent live.
