triple S’ Soomin, who is just 16 years old, received a disturbing and inappropriate message from a fan on a fan communication platform.
The sexually harassing messages from a fan are currently sparking outrage, with netizens calling for action from the agency.
On July 1, inappropriate messages sent to Soomin went viral that read, “I want to smash my [lips] on your and make you all flustered.”
Soomin responded with the Korean writing of the Japanese phrase ‘やれやれ’ (yare yare), which can be translated to ‘Well, well’ but is often used to convey disappointment or frustration.
Many netizens deemed the messages sent on her Soomin’s FROMM inappropriate considering that she’s a minor.
Despite the sender’s age and identity being unknown, the public deemed the message inappropriate and criticized MODHAUS for not doing enough to shield the young idol from harmful content.
Although Soomin appeared to brush it off, it shed light on the lack of effective measures in place to filter and monitor the comments.
On the work front, tripleS released their debut studio album, ASSEMBLE24, with Girls Never Die as the main track.
