Mark your calendars, 42s. TWS is coming back.
On March 30 at midnight KST, the Pledis Entertainment boy group officially announced their return. The group will release their fourth mini album ‘NO TRAGEDY’ on April 27 at 6 p.m. KST. A teaser video accompanied the announcement, but specific details about the album’s concept and tracklist have yet to be revealed.
The title NO TRAGEDY has everyone buzzing already. After the bright, youthful vibes of their previous releases, this one feels like it is heading into slightly deeper, more emotional territory.
The comeback news follows a busy and successful period for the six-member group. TWS, consisting of Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin, has been on a roll since their January 2024 debut.
Their 4th mini album play hard (released October 2025) delivered addictive tracks like “Head Shoulders Knees Toes” and “OVERDRIVE.” It sold 639,787 copies in the first week of release. In July 2025, TWS made their official Japanese debut with the single “Hajimemashite” (“Nice to Meet You”). The single sold an impressive 150,000 copies in its first week and topped Oricon’s Weekly Single Chart.
The group faced an unexpected tragedy earlier this year. Following their appearance at the 40th Golden Disc Awards in Taiwan on January 10, the members returned to Korea. That same night, member Jihoon’s father passed away after a battle with illness.
Pledis Entertainment issued an official statement confirming the news and announced that Jihoon would be absent from upcoming activities as well as the group’s 2nd anniversary fan celebration. The company requested that fans give Jihoon time to mourn with his family.
Despite the difficult period, TWS has continued to connect with fans through various projects. In early March, they launched their first VR concert, ‘Rush Road’, at Megabox COEX in Seoul. The VR experience sold out immediately during pre-sales and ranked second on Megabox’s overall movie chart. It has since expanded to multiple global cities, including Bangkok, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Taipei, Singapore, and Mexico City.
On the collaboration front, members Dohoon, Jihoon, and Kyungmin teamed up with American rapper 24kGoldn, known for his Billboard Hot 100 hit “Mood,” for the track ‘You Like It I Love It.’ It was released on March 23 as part of NHN Bugs’ essential;studio project.
The group is currently hosting their fanmeeting 42:CLUB in Seoul from March 27 to 29. It has the concept of a sports club joint training session. Members have taken on roles as athletes from different sports: Shinyu from tennis, Dohoon from soccer, Youngjae from kendo, Hanjin from shooting, Jihoon from taekwondo, and Kyungmin from basketball.
The fan meeting will continue in Japan on April 8 and 9 at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama. Looking ahead, the group is also expected to hold a concert in Seoul in late June.
Meanwhile, NO TRAGEDY is dropping on April 27, pre-orders begin March 30 at 11 a.m.
