TXT’s Yeonjun and Soobin to Join tvN’s “Resident Playbook” in Surprise Cameo Roles

TXT Soobin and Yeonjun to make a cameo in Resident Playbook

MOAs (fans of TOMORROW X TOGETHER) have a new reason to celebrate!

TXT members Yeonjun and Soobin are set to make surprise cameo appearances in the ongoing tvN medical drama “Resident Playbook”.

The drama premiered on April 12th and has released four episodes so far. Previously, it grabbed attention for an all-star OST lineup featuring TXT, EXO’s D.O., Stray Kids (Lee Know, I.N, Seungmin), IVE’s Yujin, SEVENTEEN’s DK, aespa’s Winter, and more.

Xports News reported on April 21 that K-pop group TOMORROW X TOGETHER will make a special appearance in tvN’s weekend medical drama ‘Resident Playbook’. The media outlet revealed that members Soobin and Yeonjun will surprise fans with cameo roles in the series.

Soobin and Yeonjun will portray former idol group members who were colleagues of Um Jae Il (played by Kang Yoo Seok). Kang previously gained attention as Eun Myeong (IU’s younger brother) in the popular drama ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’. Now, he stars in ‘Resident Playbook’ as a rookie OB-GYN resident at Jongno Yulje Hospital.

Kang Yoo Seok portrays Um Jae-il, a character with an unusual career trajectory from one-hit idol to an OB-GYN resident. TXT members Soobin and Yeonjun will appear as his former groupmates in the drama.

Yeonjun previously made his acting debut in a guest role in the drama “Live On”, which premiered in 2020. It is the first time MOAs will see Soobin act in a drama, so fans are pretty thrilled.

Regarding their cameo appearance, the “Resident Playbook” production team stated, “Please look forward to the broadcast for more details.”

Meanwhile, ‘Resident Playbook’ serves as a spin-off of the beloved medical drama ‘Hospital Playlist’. It follows the professional journeys of residents aspiring to become skilled physicians. The series features a talented young cast including Go Yoon Jung, Kang You Seok, Han Ye Ji, and Jung Joon Won.

The drama continues to gain momentum, with its fourth episode achieving a new personal best of 5.1% nationwide viewership (Nielsen Korea).
