Fans have expressed their disappointment and criticized SM Entertainment for leaving Winwin out of WayV’s June comeback.

SM Entertainment announced on May 9 that the 26-year-old singer will not participate in WayV’s upcoming comeback due to a scheduling conflict with his ongoing drama filming commitments in China.

Shortly after the announcement, he took to Bubble to clarify the situation, revealing that he had initially intended to join WayV’s comeback.

However, a sudden change in the group’s schedule conflicted with his existing filming commitments, forcing him to sit out.

He shared details about the group’s comeback, saying, “I learned from the team that we would start preparing a new album in May. So, from January to April this year, I participated in the filming of a domestic TV series,” and added, “but the plan to produce the album was suddenly brought forward to the end of March.”

The Chinese singer went on to say, “At the time, I was on the crew, filming my re-scenes and my main scenes, and I couldn’t make time to participate in team activities.”

Winwin confessed to discussing various alternatives with the group, however, he ultimately had to miss the comeback.

Fans are criticizing SM Entertainment for not making adjustments to allow Winwin to participate in WayV’s comeback.
