Jeon Jong Seo, the South Korean actress, strongly refuted the accusations of school violence.
On April 4, an official from her agency, ANDMARQ, shared, “We are aware of false facts and rumors related to actor Jeon Jong Seo that are spreading through online communities and SNS, and we can no longer ignore the spread of these false facts, so we are conveying our position on this.”
They went on to deny the school violence allegations, stating, “As soon as we confirmed the post posted on the community, we closely checked the facts through the actress herself and her acquaintances, and confirmed that what was claimed in the post was not true at all.”
The agency hasn’t taken official action because they believed the information was clearly false. Since plenty of harmful posts and comments are circulating, they will be taking strong measures against spreading false information.
Additionally, they vowed to continue to address unverified claims and malicious content online to protect the actress.
Recently, on an anonymous online platform, a person who attended the same middle school as actress J made allegations of school violence. They claimed that the actress would often take or steal gym uniforms and school uniforms from students and would use foul language towards them if they didn’t comply.
They further described instances where they heard alarming noises at school due to not giving in to the demands, and even mentioned being chased and harassed.
